Simply put, whenever the data which is recorded within a company’s Articles of Organization or Articles of Incorporation is edited, a business leader will then generally need to submit an Article of Amendment. The data found within a business leader’s Certificate of Authority or Articles of Incorporation or Organization makes up the officiated data which the relevant state has filed regarding a business. The major changes within a company often need to be recorded properly.

Another kind of amendment is that of a director amendment. This occurs when an individual director formally resigns. Depending on the state within which such a change occurs, a business will then have to register the change with a central company’s registry. Then there are company secretary amendments – which are the changes of the central secretary within a company, change in registered auditor amendments – where the official accounting services of a company change, and change in the type of company amendments.
